I'm surprised there were no comments on this post. I have a comment. Well said about the character of houses, I couldn't agree more. While my house has vinyl siding and some vinyl windows, it does have character inside with what I believe is beautiful wood doors, frames, baseboards. Some of the windows are wooden casement windows, but they are in need of replacement :-(
